
The Missouri high school wrestling and swimming championships concluded on Saturday, and several local competitors had top finishes.
At the state wrestling championships in Columbia, Mo., Ste. Genevieve's Travis Jones won the Class 2, 120 lb weight division with a 4-2 decision over Oak Grove's Jacob Best.
In the Class 4, 106 lb final, Jackson's Jarrett Reisenbichler lost by pin to Sean Hosford of Park Hill.
Jackson's Tyler Rush won 5th place in the Class 4, 138 lb weight class, while Ste. Genevieve's Cole Reynolds won third place in Class 2's 126 lb weight division.
At the Missouri high school state swim meet in St. Peters, Mo., Jackson's Kyleigh Troxel placed 4th in the 500 yard freestyle and 7th in the 200 yard freestyle. Jackson's Caitlyn Palmer placed 5th in the 100 meter butterfly and 11th in the 50 freestyle.
