MUNCIE, IN (KFVS) - An Indiana sanitation employee saw something moving recently inside a trash bag, and it wasn't garbage-it was a dog.
According to WHAS-TV, Michael Upchurch met a puppy he has now named Garby, after the dog's previous owner had thrown the puppy in the trash. The former owner reportedly thought the dog had died of Parvo.
Upchurch found the dog while picking up trash in Muncie.
Officials say the dog was actually starving and had passed out. The dog's previous owner has been cited with animal neglect and animal cruelty.
