Crews began tearing down Thursday what's left of a Carterville building destroyed in a Tuesday night fire.

Corbell Telephone And Electronics was ruled a total loss.

Since then, Division Street has been closed for fear the building could collapse.

Earlier Thursday morning,  construction workers began tearing down what was still standing.

The Carterville Fire Department expects to have the street re-opened later Thursday night or early Friday morning.
