BOLLINGER COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -
There are new developments in a Bollinger County homicide.
According to investigators, someone shot 35-year-old Scott Robins in his home in September 2012. According to Coroner Charles Hutchings, investigators have some new elements to look at. They say they've never stopped working a case they've called frustrating in the months since it happened.
Robin's children discovered their father shot in the head when they returned home after school in September.
Coroner Hutchings said on Wednesday that he got a phone call Tuesday that could open some doors. He says new developments involve an item of evidence they're now able to take a fresh look at, but he couldn't reveal much more than that at this time.
Since the deadly shooting, the sheriff's department says they've looked into several persons of interest, yet made no arrests. Hutchings says it's a priority for the county to solve this case.
He says we could know more in the next few weeks.
Robins repossessed cars and owned his own towing company.
Robins children continue to hope for answers.
His children said in December they love and miss their father greatly. They say it would mean everything to them to know what happened.
