Redhawk baseball prepares for opener - KFVS12 News & Weather Cape Girardeau, Carbondale, Poplar Bluff

First year SEMO head baseball coach Steve Bieser's is ready for his first game since  taking over for Mark Hogan who retired last season.

The Redhawks kick-off their season in a three game series against New Orleans. First pitch is Friday at 6:30 p.m. in New Orleans.

SEMO was picked to finish in eighth place in the preseason poll for the Ohio Valley Conference this season.

The Redhawks lost their top two offensive threats, Trenton Moses and Kenton Parmley, but maintain Derek Gibson, who was voted to the Preseason All-OVC team.
