CRITTENDEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -
Kentucky State Police say a man who escaped from the Crittenden County Jail is back behind bars.
Troopers say escapee Jason Arkenberg was
apprehended at 3:32 P.M. by Marion Police Department and the Crittenden County
Sheriff's Department at the Turner and Conyers Sawmill on US 60 west of Marion.
Detective Lloyd Ray has charged the subject with escape 2nd degree, two counts
of burglary 3rd degree, criminal mischief 3rd degree, and theft by unlawful
taking under $500. Arkenberg was taken to the Crittenden County Jail.
State Police say around 6:30 a.m. Sunday, they notified by Crittenden County Jail staff that Jason Scott Arkenberg, of Louisville, Ky., had walked away from the jail.
Police say he had been last seen in the area of the State Highway Garage at around 9 a.m. and may have obtained camouflage overalls.
He was serving a sentence for arson, fleeing or evading police and receiving stolen property.
