
The Southeast Missouri State women's basketball team couldn't keep up with Eastern Illinois, losing 64-46 Saturday afternoon.
In a game with poor shooting performances by both teams, the Panthers were able to escape the Show Me Center with a win despite shooting 39.6 percent. Southeast only shot 32.3 percent for the game and Jordan Hunter was the only Redhawk to manage to score in double-digits with 10 points. Bailie Roberts led the team with eight rebounds and six assists to go with her four points.
The Panthers Ta'Kenya Nixon led the team with 14 points and had five rebounds. Mariah King scored 11 points and also had five rebounds.
The Redhawks fell to 9-15 overall and 3-8 in OVC play. Their next game is against SIU Edwardsville at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Show Me Center.
