PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

Four people were arrested and three are facing drug charges after detectives served a search warrant on Friday in Paducah.

Detectives say they served the search warrant at the home in the 700 block of North 34 Street and held five adults that were at the home.

As detectives served the warrant, they say it appeared that two males, Roy Shavez, 36, and Michael Burgess, 40, both of Paducah had been smoking marijuana. During a further search of the residence and outside area, detectives say they found methamphetamine, methamphetamine, paraphernalia, and marijuana, money believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales, and evidence that supported the allegation that Shavez had been selling crystal methamphetamine.

Shavez and Burgess were arrested and transported to the McCracken County Jail for drug charges. Daniel Simmons, 41, of Tamms, Illinois, was arrested on an outstanding Calloway County arrest warrant for harassing communications and taken to the McCracken County Jail. John Brill, 19, was cited to court for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department was assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff's Office and K9 Fox of the Paducah Police Department.
