MOUND CITY, IL (KFVS) -

A Mound City gas station clerk won't likely ever forget what happened to her last Wednesday after an armed robbery.

According to Mound City Police the robbery happened at the Cut Mart Wednesday night.

The suspect jumped on the counter, demanded cash and pointed a gun at worker Renee Wright and her 13-year-old son who was at work with her that night.

The suspect took cash and ran from the store.

Wright describes what it was it like.

"I couldn't get into the register quick enough for him, and he proceeded to turn a gun on my son," said Renee Wright. "My son's not but 13 years old. And from there I like went into a major panic,  because all I could do is beg for my life and my son's life."

It was all caught on video surveillance. The owner says he put in new equipment after previous burglaries.

The sheriff's department is still investigating.

New federal regulations have changed what many kids who attend public schools eat for lunch at school. However, some area private schools don't have to follow those rules and have come up with their own new school lunch program.
