Satellite, wind maps show winter storm headed for Northeast

(KFVS/AP) - The Northeast is bracing for its largest winter storm in more than a year.

Up to 3 feet of snow was forecast along the densely populated Interstate 95 corridor from the New York City area to Boston and beyond.

NASA has released an interested photo of the impending storm over the Northeast.

There is also an interesting wind map that shows the speed and direction of winds throughout the U.S.
