CRITTENDEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Kentucky Transportation Cabinet crews continue responding to snow dumped by an overnight winter clipper system.
A transportation spokesperson says crews are out in a number of counties treating and plowing highways. Sunshine in some areas has helped to warm pavement temperatures aiding in the melting process. However, clouds have moved back in, slowing that process. Still, temperatures have continued to rise into the mid to upper 30's across the region and that has helped crews with their snow clearing efforts.
Also, Crittenden County has several trucks out spreading salt. Crittenden had just over an inch of snow in the northern portion of the county trailing off to about an inch in southern portions.
Early reports showed about 1-3 inches of snow across District 2 counties with Union, Webster, McLean, and Ohio counties receiving the greatest accumulation.
