Police seize 1,600 grams of pot from Bonne Terre home

BONNE TERRE, MO (KFVS) -

Bonne Terre police say a 51-year-old faces charges after they seized 1,600 grams of marijuana and other items from his home on Thursday.

The man's name has not been released, pending formal charges.

In addition, an 18-year-old faces disorderly conduct, failure to comply with a police order, resisting arrest and assault on a law enforcement officer charges after reportedly pushing the Bonne Terre Police Chief.

Park Hills and Bonne Terre police were investigating a stolen gun, when police say they smelled the odor of pot.

Police after searching the home, police say they found 1,600 grams of marijuana, two marijuana plants, scales, drug paraphernalia, $300 and some guns.

Bonne Terre police say it's the biggest marijuana bust there in 20 years.
