KENNETT, MO (KFVS) -

Police say two juveniles were detained after being accused of stealing electronics in Kennett.

On Monday, Kennett Police say they received information from a source about a burglary that happened on January 22 in the 200 block of South Main Street in Kennett.

Police say the information resulted in the recovery of a stolen laptop and stolen iPad.

Kennett Investigators along with the help of the Dunklin County Juvenile Office, questioned several juveniles about the burglary. This investigation led juvenile authorities to detain two juveniles suspected of committing the crime on Main Street along with two other previously reported burglaries.

Information led officers to recover a second stolen laptop at a residence on Wayne Street.

This investigation is considered ongoing.

Kennett Police Chief James Paine would like to thank Kennett Public Schools and the Dunklin County Juvenile Office for their help in the investigation.
