Kennett man facing drug charges after police chase

KENNETT, MO (KFVS) - Police say a Kennett man is accused of running from police and also faces drug charges.

JeriDon Langston, 37 of Kennett, was taken to the Dunklin County Jail awaiting formal charges from the State Prosecutors Office. Charges include two separate counts of possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest by fleeing.

Langston allegedly fled on foot after police tried to make an traffic stop early Tuesday morning in the 900 block of Wayne Street.

He was captured a few blocks away. Officers say during the chase they saw Langston throw something down, which was later determined to be a bag of prescription pills.
