    Kentucky officials have cited an eastern Kentucky man for illegally mining coal in Letcher County.

MARSHALL COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A Calvert City man was arrested after police say he was in possession of a stolen firearm.

On Wednesday, January 23, Deputy Nathan Maxlow was dispatched to Arizona Street to assist in locating David D. Chadwell.

The Sheriff's Office had received information that the suspect was in possession of a stolen vehicle and several firearms.

Deputy Maxlow was advised that the suspect had made threats to kill the resident of the home.

David D. Chadwell, 35, of Calvert City, was located hiding in a bedroom under the bed.

A 9MM pistol was found under the mattress. Further investigation revealed that the pistol was entered stolen in Knox County.

Chadwell was arrested and charged with burglary 1st degree, receiving stolen property and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Chadwell was taken to the Marshall County Detention Center.
