SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) - This time of year, we're indoors more and that can mean working on those home improvement projects.
If your to-do list includes hanging things on the wall, the makers of the Hang Rite claim this product can help.
It never fails, you hammer a nail only to find that's not the right spot for your picture. It slides down too far.
Hang Rite should stop that and stop you from grabbing a measuring tape. It does it for you.
Heather Freeland lines this tool up to the lip of this frame, since we don't have a bracket.
She makes her mark.
"Looks simple enough," Freeland said.
"Then it's supposed to Hang Rite, right?" Freeland said "Looks like it works."
But Freeland really likes the leveling aspect of this tool. She uses it to straighten up some other pictures.
"I thought this was a pretty good product," she said.
But, if you already have a level and tape measure, you probably don't need this.
And if you're like Freeland... "I would just eye things and go."
She can think of one use where Hang Rite might come in handy.
"If I wanted to make a collage, it'd be helpful, but just one picture, I don't see using this."
Freeland's just not too hung up on Hang Rite.
"I'd give it a 'B'."
Hang Rite frames a 'B' on this Does it Work test.
