MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

McCracken County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man in connection with a 30 year-old rape case.

Deputies say on Friday January 18 they started investigating a rape that allegedly happened in 1982 in the Farley area of McCracken County.

The victim told deputies that she was 11 years old at the time.

Deputies say during the course of their investigation they got enough evidence to get an arrest warrant for the suspect, Barry Arant, of West Paducah.

On Tuesday detectives found Arant at his home and arrested him.

He was taken to the McCracken County jail.

He's charged with first degree rape and his bond was set at $100,000.
