DYERSBURG, TN (KFVS) -

Two men face gun charges after multiple reports of an assault rifle being shot near some apartments in Dyersburg Sunday night.

Officers saw to men leave an apartment near the area of Greenway Street and Parr Avenue near Dyersburg High School.

Officers found several .22 caliber shell casings on the ground and a street light that had been shot out. The two men were detained and a search of the apartment found a .22 caliber rifle that was fashioned after an AR 15 assault rifle, a spotter scope for the rifle, ammunition, and a 380 caliber handgun.

Ernest Eugene Kelly, 20, of 300 Greenway Street, and Lorenzo Kuykendall, 20, of 1002 Hillcrest Avenue, were charged with felony reckless endangerment.
