Good afternoon--Here are the stories we are working on for tonight's Heartland News at 6, 9 and 10.

Gun owners nationwide celebrated their firearms today during the first-ever "Gun Appreciation Day."

Several gun rallies were held at state capitols, including in Missouri and Kentucky.

As Gov. Pat Quinn and other Illinois Democrats vow to pursue a statewide ban on assault weapons, some of those same guns are on sale this weekend at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield.
