CALLOWAY COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A broken tail light led to a police chase, and landed a Kentucky man behind bars.
It all started late Friday night on Sherman Road in Calloway County when a Kentucky State Trooper tried to stop a car for driving with a tail light out.
Trooper David Dick says when he turned on his emergency lights the driver did not pull over. Instead 32-year-old Kenton Doran of New Concord reportedly kept driving.
The trooper says Doran turned on a couple different roads in an apparent attempt to elude police. The chase ended on Shannon Creek Road when Doran failed to negotiate a curve, drove off the road and hit a tree.
Doran is now in the Calloway County Jail facing felony charges of reckless driving, driving under the influence, fleeing to elude police, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and wonton endangerment. To top it off, Doran received a ticket for the broken tail light.
