Gov. Quinn appoints former US Attorney to U of Ill. board

CHICAGO, IL (KFVS) -

Ill. Gov. Pat Quinn has announced several appointments to the boards of two Illinois universities, including former US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald to the Board of Trustees at University of Ill.

According to Quinn's office, Fitzgerald served as US Attorney for the Northern District of Ill. and has received several honors for his more than 20 years in public service.

"Patrick Fitzgerald has served the people of Illinois well and he will be an outstanding member of our outstanding leadership team at Illinois' flagship university," Quinn said.

Quinn also re-appointed Dr. Timothy N. Koritz and James Montgomery to the University of Ill. Board of Trustees

The governor announced three reappointments to the Northern Ill. University Board of Trustees: Robert Boey, Dr. John Butler and Wheeler Coleman.
