A new survey shows that parents and children are closer than ever, but that may not be as good as it sounds.
According to Yahoo News, the survey found that 31% of young adults talk to their parents in one way or another more than once a day, while only 13% of parents say they talk to their own parents daily.
Some say modern technology has encouraged the increase in communication between parents and kids and that parents enjoy having that close relationship with their adult children. Others claim the reason kids talk with their parents so often is due to a lack of independence and young adults having an inability to solve their own problems.
The survey was conducted by AARP and included 1,034 young adults, aged 21 to 26, and 1,229 parents, aged 47 to 66.
