Salukis drop heartbreaker at Bradley

PEORIA, IL (KFVS) -

The Southern Illinois basketball team fell short to Bradley University in the final seconds of the game Tuesday night 69-66.

Bradley's Walt Lemon Jr. scored 16 points and dished out eight assists while Tyshone Pickett added 15. Will Egolf also scored in double-figures with 11 points, seven rebounds and four blocks.

Saluki Desmar Jackson led the team with 21 points while Jeff Early added 17 points and 11 rebounds. Anthony Beane Jr. also recorded 13 points.

The Braves improved to 11-7 and 3-3 in the Missouri Valley Conference. 

The Salukis dropped to 8-9 and 1-5 in the MVC.

Southern will return to action against Illinois State on Sunday.
