HOLYOKE, MA (WSHM) -
Police did not have to go far to investigate a crash Saturday night.
At approximately 10:30 p.m., the Holyoke Police Department said a 1997 green GMC Jimmy collided with the front entrance of their headquarters on Appleton Street.
Police said the fire department was called in and the Jaws of Life were needed to remove the operator from the vehicle.
The driver was taken to Baystate Medical Center.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
