PALMER, MA (WSHM) -

Just over 24 hours after the post office in the Thorndike section of the town was robbed, police made an arrest in the case.

Police Chief Robert Frydryk told CBS 3 that 19-year-old Kyle Grinaski was arrested Sunday at 10 a.m.

Grinaski, who told police he just moved to the area from Connecticut, admitted to the crime.

Police said Grinaski robbed the post office with a weapon that appeared to be a knife.

He will be arraigned in Palmer District Court on Monday morning.

Grinaski could face federal charges.
