Murray State opens OVC play with 73-62 win over UT Martin

Murray State took care of UT Martin Thursday night, winning 73-62 in the Racers Ohio Valley Conference opener.

It was Murray State's 600th OVC win in school history.

Isaiah Canaan led the Racers with 18 points, Stacy Wilson added 16 and Ed Daniel had 9 points and 11 rebounds.

The Racers (10-3) snapped a two-game losing streak with the win. UT Martin fell to 3-12 on the year.

Murray State travels to Cape Girardeau to play SEMO on Saturday in a nationally televised game on ESPNU at 5 p.m.
