JOHNSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

Emergency crews rushed to the scene of a late night wreck that shut down the westbound lanes of Interstate 24 Wednesday night in Johnson County.

The lanes are back open.

The wreck happened around 8 p.m. around mile marker 16.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Department says a semi and a passenger vehicle crashed into each other and at least one person had to be airlifted to the hospital.  No word on the person's condition.
