Sikeston native Blake DeWitt has joined his third Major League organization.

The utility player has signed Minor League deal with the Atlanta Braves.

DeWitt is a former first round pick of the Los Angels Dodgers who was traded to the Cubs in 2010.

The 27-year old Heartland native is a career .257 hitter with 21-homers and 135 RBI.
