Kentucky hires new head football coach

Mark Stoops has been hired as Kentucky's next football head coach.

Stoops has been the defensive coordinator for the Florida State Seminoles the last three seasons.

Stoops also served as defensive coordinator for Arizona from 2004 to 2009 under his brother Mike Stoops.

He replaces Joker Phillips, who was fired after three consecutive losing seasons with the Wildcats.
