SIU extends baseball coach's contract

Southern Illinois University announced Monday that the contract of head baseball coach Ken Henderson has been extended through the end of the 2014 season.

Henderson led SIU to last spring's championship game in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.

He enters his third season as head coach and his 23rd season on the Salukis' coaching staff.

The Salukis will start the 2012 season at UAB on February 15.
