DAVIESS COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -
A Daviess County woman was arrested on charges related to child pornography Tuesday after the Kentucky State Police served a search warrant at her Owensboro home.
Sarah A. Cox, 25, is charged with 1,064 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, which is a class D felony.
Police say Cox was arrested without incident at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday by the Kentucky State Police and Owensboro Police Department units. She was charged and taken to the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro.
Cox was charged by the Kentucky State Police ICAC Task Force as a result of an undercover investigation into the possession and distribution of images of child sexual exploitation. The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Cox's home in Owensboro on Nov. 8, by the ICAC Task Force and Post 16 units. According to police, detectives seized evidence that was being used to distribute child pornography and taken to the Kentucky State Police forensic laboratory for examination.
Kentucky State Police is a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC).
