CALLOWAY COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

The Calloway County Clerk in Western Kentucky says Jerry Wayne Walker, Jr. pleaded guilty Tuesday to tampering with evidence charges.

The clerk says Walker received a diversion argument, which means if he meets all the requirements for five years, the charges will be dropped.

Conditions of the agreement for the next five years include: no new offenses, drug and alcohol free, community service at MSU Michael Minger memorial and a written apology.

Walker was charged in connection with the 1998 Murray State dorm fire that killed one student and injured several others.
