Gas prices in Missouri continue to fall.
Average retail gasoline prices in Missouri have fallen 0.6 cents per gallon in the past week now averaging about $3.10 per gallon according to MissouriGasPrices.com. That is 5.5 cents per gallon lower than one year ago and 46.2 cents lower than one month ago.
"The national average has again decreased in the last week, but the decreases are beginning to slow down," said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. "Wholesale gasoline prices rose strongly on Friday which could send prices higher in states with among the lowest prices in the United States."
The national average dropped 3.2 cents per gallon over the last week to an average of $3.46 per gallon which is 32.6 cents per gallon lower than last month and 3.1 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
A wide-ranging farm bill the House is considering would cut food stamps by $2 billion a year and make it more difficult for some people to qualify for the domestic food aid program.
