Veterans Day ceremony held at Freedom Corner

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

A Veterans Day ceremony was held Sunday at 11 a.m. at Freedom Corner in Capaha Park in Cape Girardeau.

Activities at the ceremony Sunday morning included a posting of the colors, a guest speaker, laying of the wreath, rifle salute and taps.

More than 100 people were on hand to honor America's veterans.

With the strong winds, the flags were said to have been beautiful flowing in the wind.

There were veterans from the all branches of the military present.

The VFW ladies Auxiliary laid a wreath at the ceremony.
