CAIRO, IL (KFVS) -
The Cairo Police Department has released the name of the man shot and killed Friday night.
Police say Everett Tim Rice, Jr., 25, from Cairo moved back to Cairo from Chicago. They say they have talked to a couple of people who may have been involved but have no suspects at this time.
According to police, they do not have a description of the shooter at this time.
Cairo Police Chief Gary Hankins said the shooting happened early Saturday morning at McBride Housing in Cairo, Illinois.
Hankins said Rice was shot and killed.
If anyone has any information, they are asked to call the Cairo Police Department or Alexander County Sheriff's Office.
