CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Cape Girardeau police have a person of interest what they are calling an alleged shootout on Saturday morning.

The incident happened shortly after 11 a.m. at the corner of South Hanover and Bloomfield Road.

Police said Sunday they had a person of interest in the case and was seeking a suspect.

According to police at the scene, the alleged shootout occurred between a person standing on the porch of a house on Bloomfield Road, and another person standing on South Hanover.

Multiple shots were reportedly fired with at least one bullet going through the window of a nearby home. A Heartland News photographer counted at least six shell casings on the ground.

No known injuries were reported.

Police were looking Saturday for the two suspects reportedly involved.

If anyone has any information, they are asked to call police at 573-335-6621.
