SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A mobile home was destroyed in an early morning fire on MFA Road near Benton in Scott County, Mo. on Monday.

It happened around 2 a.m.

Fire crews say the homeowners were not inside the trailer at the time of the fire.

Crews from the New Hamburg, Benton and Commerce fire departments not only faced the danger of the flames but also two propane tanks on the property.

One tank caught fire. No one was hurt.

Although, a family dog did die in the fire.

We're told by the NBC fire captain that the blaze is under investigation.
