39 killed in superstorm, Murder conviction appeal denied, therapy dogs

Superstorm Sandy's strike on the Eastern Seaboard area has left at least 39 reported dead and caused hospital evacuations, flooded streets and raging fires in New York City and other areas.

The Isle of Capri casino opened in Cape Girardeau today. Christy Millweard talked to Cape Girardeau Mayor Harry Rediger about the casino's impact on Cape. Check out this slideshow of the inside.

A judge denied an appeal by a man who was convicted of three 2009 murders in Cape Girardeau.

Former beer baron August Busch IV has agreed to pay $1.75 million to settle a wrongful death lawsuit over his former girlfriend's accidental drug overdose death.

It was a pretty colorful day at Anna Junior High School today in honor of breast cancer awareness month. Today was Pink out Day. Students paid to wear pink to raise money for breast cancer research.
