Sandy causes evacuations, Runners struck by stolen car, Man stabbed at bar

Mandatory evacuations are under way for residents living in low-lying areas from North Carolina up to Connecticut as the outer bands of Hurricane Sandy the East Coast with the possibility of a storm surge of 11 feet. We'll have the latest on Heartland News at 5, 9 and 10.

Ameren companies in Illinois and Missouri sent more than 100 employees and contractors to the East Coast to assist with the aftermath effects of Hurricane Sandy.
