SEMO prepares for homecoming

Southeast Missouri State University is expecting thousands of alumni to come back to Cape Girardeau for homecoming.

SEMO Alumni Director Jay Wolz says one of the biggest concerns for the weekend is parking.  Several lots will be closed Saturday morning for tailgating before SEMO plays UT-Martin.

"You will want to show up early," Wolz said. "You may have to park two or three blocks further away than you're used to."

The annual homecoming parade is scheduled for Saturday morning at 9:30.  The parade route begins at Capaha Park and travels down Broadway to Main St. before stopping in the Hutson's Furniture parking lot.
