    Water service restored to Cairo residents

    Many are reporting little to no water pressure Sunday morning in Cairo due to water system problems and low Ohio River levels.  Because of those water problems, there will be no school on Monday.
    Illinois American Water has restored water service to customers in its Cairo District. But, a boil water order is in effect for customers in the Cairo service area due to a temporary interruption in water service.
CAIRO, IL (KFVS) -

City leaders lifted a boil water order in Cairo, IL Wednesday morning.

The city was under an order since Sunday because of low water levels.

The issue also canceled class in Cairo on Monday.

Crews with Illinois American Water worked overtime to fix the problem.

Officials say they discovered low water levels in the Ohio river.

Mechanical issues also affected water intake between the river and the plant.
