Police investigate drive by shooting in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, IL (KFVS) -

Harrisburg police are investigating another drive by shooting at the same house where a woman was shot back in June.

The shooting happened Sunday evening at a home on North Granger Street.

Police say it was just past 11:30 p.m. when someone drove by the home and fired a number of shots at the house.

A fifteen year old girl was lying on a couch in the front room of the house was hit in the hip and taken to the hospital.

Neighbors say they're scared for their safety.

"It scares me," said Sara Childers of Harrisburg. "I just keep thinking there might be a stray bullet coming through my window or into my house. I don't really have any warning when it's about to happen, it just happens."

The drive by shooting back in June put Aretha Coleman in the hospital with a gunshot wound to her stomach.

Police arrested Keiwan Taylor in connection to that shooting.

Police say they don't believe anyone was targeted by the recent drive by.

But that the shooter could be trying to intimidate someone in the home.

So far no arrests have been made in this recent shooting.
