AUBURN, AL – The Arkansas defense – highlighted by eight sacks and 11 tackles for loss – powered Arkansas to a 24-7 win on the road against Auburn.
Trey Flowers accounted for 3.5 sacks to lead the defense, and Ross Rasner, Alan Turner and Will Hines all had an interception.
Tyler Wilson was 20-for-27 and threw for 216 yards. Running back Dennis Johnson led the Razorbacks on offense rushing for 76 yards and two touchdowns.
Senior Cobi Hamilton led the wide receivers with five catches and 72 yards with a long of 41 yards.
Arkansas got on the board first in the first quarter after a 10-play drive to finish with a 2-yard touchdown from Johnson.
The Razorbacks put three more points on the board with a 27-yard field goal from kicker Zach Hocker to give Arkansas a 10-0 lead at the 6:33 mark of the second quarter.
Auburn answered in the third quarter with a five-play, 68-yard drive that ended with a 21-yard touchdown pass from Clint Moseley to Emory Blake.
The Razorbacks responded with a 2-yard rushing touchdown from Johnson to give Arkansas a 17-7 lead.
After another stop by the Razorback defense, Arkansas' offense used a trick play to score. Brandon Mitchell's 26-yard pass to Javontee Herndon in the end zone to give the Razorbacks a 24-7 lead.
