Semi crash on I-24 blocks traffic

A semi crash on Interstate 24 at the 72 mile marker blocked traffic Thursday morning. A semi crash on Interstate 24 at the 72 mile marker blocked traffic Thursday morning.
A detour has been set up for eastbound traffic at exit 65. A detour has been set up for eastbound traffic at exit 65.

A semi crash on Interstate 24 at the 72 mile marker blocked traffic Thursday morning.

One eastbound lane of I-24 is now open. Westbound traffic is flowing normally.

Drivers should slow down and use extreme caution as work to off-load the truck and remove it is expected to continue until after noon or later at the site.

All traffic is moved to the left-hand or passing lane.

The truck is being off-loaded.

A detour was set up for eastbound traffic at exit 65. Traffic could exit to US 68/KY 80 eastbound to Hopkinsville, then follow the US 68 Bypass to the Pennyrile Pkwy southbound back to I-24.
