Cape Girardeau police are investigating a shooting. Police say it happened around 9 p.m. Thursday on South Sprigg Street in Cape Girardeau.

Sad to report Southeast Missouri State University student-athlete Meghan Herndon passed away Thursday afternoon in St. Louis, according to the university. Josh Frydman will have more in sports.

Southeast Missouri State University has canceled its next two women's soccer games.
