Motorcyclist injured in two vehicle crash

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Emergency crews rushed a motorcycle rider to the hospital Saturday after a crash on Interstate 55.

The wreck happened around 3:30 Saturday afternoon in the southbound lanes of the interstate just south of the Jackson Main Street exit in Cape Girardeau County.

Police say a white SUV rear ended the motorcycle.

Crews took the rider to the hospital.  Police say the man was in his 70s.

He was listed in critical condition.

Police say the driver of White Toyota Highlander has no recollection of seeing the motorcycle until after impact.
