PEMISCOT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Three adults and two young children are injured in a Friday afternoon crash.

It happened at 4:50 p.m. on County Road 318, five miles south of Portageville.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol 21-year-old Glenn Smith was westbound and failed to yield to a northbound pick-up truck at an intersection.

Smith suffered moderate injuries, but refused medical treatment at the scene.

Smith's passengers, 20-year-old Danielle Lawson, a two-year-old girl and one-year-old boy, were seriously injured in the crash. The boy was taken to a Hayti hospital while Lawson and the little girl were airlifted to Memphis trauma centers. No word on their conditions.

The driver of the pick-up truck, 47-year-old James Vires, was also injured.

Troopers say none of the five people involved were wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
