CALLOWAY COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

The defense filed motion Friday to have tampering evidence charges dropped against Jerry Wayne Walker, Jr. in connection with the 1998 Murray State dorm fire.

A Judge will take it under advisement and make a decision on Nov 12 at 8:30 a.m.

Walker pleaded not guilty to charges of tampering with evidence back in August.

In July, a jury acquitted walker on charges of arson, manslaughter, assault and wanton endangerment in that fire.

The fire killed one student and injured several others.
