2 Metropolis residents arrested after meth lab found

METROPOLIS, IL (KFVS) -

Two Metropolis residents were arrested after Massac County Sheriff's deputies found a meth lab around midnight on September 6.

Massac County Sheriff's deputies have been conducting a month-long investigation into possible meth manufacturing at a home in the 600 block of West 11th St. in Metropolis. The department received complaints from residents in the neighborhood.

Deputies executed a search warrant around midnight on September 6 and seized a meth lab along with materials used to manufacture meth. An amount of meth and drug paraphernalia was also found in the home.

Peggy Lang, 42, and Anthony Harris, 43, both of Metropolis are charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both were taken to the Massac County Detention Center pending bond.
