JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Authorities say they suspect a mother shot and killed her three young daughters before killing herself outside her estranged boyfriend's home in rural eastern Missouri.

Officers were called to the area of Vineland Road and Wilson Hollow Road southwest of DeSoto around 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

Three young girls, ages Faith Ehlen, 22 months, Autumn Cochran, 10, and Alyssa Cochran, 11, where found in a vehicle near a home in DeSoto, Mo.

Lisa Cochran, 32, was found a short distance away at the steps leading to the porch of the home. All victims were shot in the head.

Faith Ehlen, 22 months old, is daughter of the boyfriend.

Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer says an email sent by the Cochran to relatives and her ex-boyfriend with the subject line "Good Bye" on Wednesday night led investigators to believe she killed the children, then herself. Police say a newly purchased 12-gauge shotgun was found near the woman.  Police say Cochran purchased the gun at the Walmart in Arnold on August 29.
